The Netflix Original short film Lust Stories will be remade in Telugu which will also mark Netflix’s foray into the Telugu industry. Actress Amala Paul will be leading in one of the segments of the short film. Lust Stories was released as a Netflix original, featuring Kiara Advani, Radhika Apte, Bhumi Pednekar and Manisha Koirala. The anthology film – featuring four short film segments and centered on the theme of lust – was directed by Karan Johar, Anurag Kashyap, Zoya Akhtar, and Dibakar Banerjee respectively.
Oh Baby director Nandini Reddy will be helming the segment starring Amala Paul. The film will also feature veteran actor Jagapati Babu. The three other segments will be directed by Tharun Bhascker, Sankalp Reddy, and Sandeep Vanga and the main leads are yet to be disclosed.
Soon after the announcement was made, Amala Paul took to Instagram to post how she overcame her fear of Kayaking against big waves, which will inspire her to fight bigger beasts. She wrote, “Two days I have been going to the sea unable to get on the kayak scared of flipping against the big waves. Today I was leaving for Hyderabad to start the next project and I knew if I will leave without conquering my fears then they will become bigger beasts. I chose to kayak today at the sunrise and oh boy! The adrenaline is what makes life worth living. So, here I am on the boat and not off it after many flips and blips.”
